Working in the beautiful Cornish countryside or from the comfort of your home, my family photography sessions will capture your loved ones in a natural, reportage style and give you precious, treasured memories.
I believe family portraits should be relaxed and completely unforced. I like to keep things light and fun to bring out the best in kids and capture those little moments. Such as their look at Dad as he’s about to tickle them. Or their expression as they snuggle in for a hug with Mum. You don’t get this in a clinical white studio under big lights. I find the best smiles come from letting kids have space to run around outside and just letting them be themselves, which is why I always encourage sessions to be outside when possible.

On Location
This is a great choice to get a very relaxed and fun lifestyle session. I’ll work with you to choose a suitable location nearby that has plenty of room for the kids to make use of. Any space to run around in is perfect and will guarantee smiles. I’ll provide gentle direction where needed, but mostly I find the kids lead the way with these outdoor sessions and I’ll hang back and focus on capturing you being together as a family.
I’m based in Penzance, but I’m happy to travel across most of Cornwall. Morrab Gardens is a great spot for my family sessions as it’s has plenty of quiet, scenic spots we can use. Or make the most of the rustic landscape and we can meet somewhere out on the coast, such as St Ives or Sennen. Get in touch to discuss your ideal spot.
Or at Home
Home photoshoots are ideal for parents with babies or young toddlers. It’s much less hassle for new parents if they don’t have to go anywhere and have all the nappies and change of clothes close to hand.
Instead let me bring everything to you, I have portable studio lighting and backdrops and can work in pretty much any room with a bit of floor space. I really encourage including personal items in the photos as props. Things like your child’s favourite toy, a special blanket or item of clothing. It will have much more meaning to you all as a family to look back in years to come and see your little ones wearing dads iconic jumper or wrapped up in mums scarf.
Delivery
Personalised online gallery
Within 14 days of your session you’ll receive a link to view the photos in your very own private gallery. You can easily create shortlists of chosen images, download digital jpegs or order professional grade prints. If you use Dropbox or GooglePhoto so you can even bulk download any purchased images straight to your account.
You’re welcome to share your gallery with your family and friends and you can gift prints or downloads on their behalf. Your jpeg files are delivered as high resolution digital downloads, and include the rights for you to reprint as you wish.

Professional Prints
I highly encourage all my clients to invest in a dedicated, professional printing lab and avoid typical high street photo vendors who will not take any care in the production of your quality photos. My carefully chosen print labs produce stunning work, and the photos I create with you will last a lifetime, so I want you to experience them in the best way I can deliver.
Professional prints are available in a wide range of common sizes, starting from £4.50 for 6" x 4" prints, all the way up to large format posters. More details will be provided in your online gallery.
Digital Downloads
A set amount of digital downloads are included in your family photoshoot session (see Prices section above). If you'd like to purchase any additional images the costs are:

Images are saved as high resolution digital RGB jpegs, and can be downloaded instantly from your gallery.
