Royalty Wear clothing is an independent business and fashion label based in South London, producing their expansive product line under one very big roof. The majority of products are urban streetwear, fashionable and trendy garments. It was insteresting seeing inside their factory to observe the craftsmanship of the screen printing techniques that go into each item. My brief was not only to show off these details, but to get everything spot on colour accurate for the online shop. They wanted flat product and detail photos, as well as modeled shots for a lookbook and online advertising.
Their production warehouse is huge to match their library of clothing and designs. Instead of transporting everything to my studio I brought my full studio setup over to work with them onsite and set up shop. There was an expansive collection to get through, but with my laptop I was able to get colour approval on all the garments to make sure everything was on brief. Due to the amount of garments to photograph and necessary shots required, we used two models to get a contrast in styles. This kept things fresh and avoided it becoming to stale with repetition as both models approached it with their own flourishes and style.
